The archeological museum has one of the best displays of archeological remains in Sicily. The old cathedral located in the heart of Ortigia dates from 1728, but includes 8th century Norman artifacts.Further afield from Siracusa, but within easy driving distance are the Baroque towns of Noto, Modica, Ispica and Ragusa Ibla.
